I haven't updated this page with the work I am doing at Masters Level. If you wish to know more about my work, please email me.
Some of the interesting things that I have worked on in my Bachelors.
- Ingestion Pipeline for RDF - B.Tech Project 8th Semester(Spring'07)
We propose the design and implementation of an ingestion pipeline for RDF. Our definition for ingestion subsumes: validation and inferencing. We perform closed world validation of RDF based on certain assumptions drawn from the schema. This approach can be considered equivalent to what Lint does for the programming language C. We also explored how the information extracted from the schema can be used to perform inferencing with-out loading the data in-memory. We performed a number of evaluations of the system using the Lehigh University BenchMark and also a self-created data for an educational institute. For details on the design, implementation and result please peruse through the report. This work done as my undergraduate thesis at Semantic and Adaptive Systems Department at HP Labs, Bristol.
- Design and Implementation of an ontology for an educational institute - B.Tech Mini Project 7th Semester(Fall '06)
Designed and implemented an ontology to capture the structure of an educational institute. We explored and studied how an ontology based data-management system may return better results(compared with traditional data-management systems) using SPARQL query language. An interesting evaluation is to compare how a system that stores data describing resources of an educational institute in RDF then queries it using SPARQL performs vis-a-vis a traditional data-management system. Another track that emanates from this is how expose/convert data in traditional data-base to RDF.
- Implementation of an Ontology in a meta-data management system - Summer of '06 under Prof K. Dittrich at University of Zurich, Zurich
Implementation of an ontology in an RDF based meta-data management system.
- GuNQ - A Semantic Web Engine and a novel query processing technique for Semantic Web - B.Tech Mini Project 5th Semester(Fall'05)
Developed a Semantic Web Engine which Integrates & Automates the Ontology Retrieval & Validation, conversion to N-Triples graph, inferencing, querying and building analogy. We also proposed an querying approach based on keywords and conversion of the keyword query into RDQL.
Robust adaptive algorithm for underwater human-motion tracking - Summer of '05 under Asst. Prof A Fang, National University of Singapore, Singapore.
Developed a camera calibiration tool-box for MATLAB and proposed a novel algorithm for under-water human-motion tracking. Algorithm addressed a number of issues pertaining tracking motion in water like occulision, disturbance in images due to water bubbles.
